Paal’s easy home building system wins approval of discerning customer
Choosing the home that he would build was something John approached with a professional eye, having worked as a tradesperson many years ago. He put in 18 months research and looked at all the kit homes on the market.
“In the end, Suezanne and I chose Paal because of the ease of their building system. We also liked the designs,” he said.
The Hawkesbury they selected is a stylish, spacious home with the standard plan altered to lengthen the family room and omit one of the bedrooms. The main bedroom has a generous walk-in robe with ensuite, and the study is large enough to use as a fourth bedroom.
A contractor was employed to excavate and lay the concrete slab, then John and family members and neighbours joined forces to erect the frame members and roof trusses. “The wall frames were quite liftable. We got most of them up and into position in a single day, bracing and securing them in the following days,” he recalled.
The couple also benefited from Paal Homes’ back up service. “Their housing consultant Michael Christie was very helpful and the technical support from John Noye very good. They bent over backwards to assist us,” he said.
The couple are happy with their completed home and how it came together. “The Paal way of building worked out perfectly for us. It wasn’t a problem at all,” John said.
